Jester Park Winter Activities

"Living in Iowa we get to fully experience the joy of winter! During rush hour traffic we may not appreciate the beautiful snowfall, but each year I try to make time to enjoy it and remind myself it's not always bad and there are memories to be made. There are so many different ways to get out and experience winter in Iowa. For those who like to be active, you can try cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at Jester Park, ice-skating at Brenton Plaza, or skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing at Seven Oaks in Boone. For those looking for something a little more relaxed, enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh ride at Jester park or take a stroll through the Reiman Gardens Winter Wonderscape Light Show in Ames. No matter what you choose, make sure to pack your thermos with your favorite hot beverage to warm you up after your outdoor adventures! "
